The Dawn of Adventure

It’s 5:00 a.m. in Shimla. The air is cold, the mist hangs low, and the world is still quiet. Somewhere on the mountainside, a single engine breaks the silence — the TVS Apache RTX 300.

As I zip up my jacket and tighten my gloves, the golden light of dawn catches the bike’s sharp lines. There’s something about the moment — a mix of excitement, curiosity, and a little nostalgia. It feels like I’m not just about to test a motorcycle; I’m about to start a story.

First Impressions – When Presence Speaks Louder Than Power

TVS Apache RTX 300

The first time you see the Apache RTX 300, you pause. It doesn’t look like a 300cc motorcycle at all — it looks bigger, bolder, more intimidating.

Its stance is tall and muscular, the 12.5L tank sculpted perfectly into the frame, and those headlights — sharp and confident, almost daring you to take it off the road. From the front, it gives off a faint Triumph Tiger vibe, yet remains unmistakably TVS.

This bike doesn’t whisper adventure — it roars it.

The Ride Begins – Gentle Yet Determined

The first few kilometers on the Apache RTX 300 feel surprisingly calm. The engine hums smoothly, refined and ready, the throttle response light and predictable. It doesn’t intimidate you. Instead, it builds a bond — one kilometer at a time.

At low RPMs, it’s polite. At 5,000 RPM, it comes alive, reminding you that this single-cylinder 300cc motor means business. It’s not brutal like a KTM, but it’s composed — more of a long-distance storyteller than a sprinter.

And that’s what makes it beautiful.

The Road Gets Rough – Suspension that Smiles Back

Soon, the tarmac disappears. Rocks, gravel, and uneven patches take over.
But the Apache RTX 300? It doesn’t flinch.

With the BTO adjustable suspension, it glides over broken roads like a well-trained dancer. Every bump is handled with grace. Even when seated, I don’t feel the need to stand up — the comfort level is that good.

For 95% of this ride, I’m sitting, smiling, and silently thanking TVS for tuning this suspension so perfectly for Indian terrain.

This isn’t just comfort — it’s confidence on two wheels.

Corners, Control, and Character

TVS has racing in its DNA, and that legacy shines through the Apache RTX 300’s handling.

Despite weighing around 180 kg, the bike feels light on its feet. The 19-17 wheel setup provides the perfect balance between agility and stability. The wide handlebar gives leverage, and the steering feedback is spot on.

On twisty mountain roads, it doesn’t fight you — it flows with you.
Sure, the stock tires could use more grip on wet or loose surfaces, but the overall handling? Absolutely brilliant.

The Apache RTX 300 isn’t a bike you control; it’s a bike you dance with.

Comfort & Ergonomics – Designed for the Long Haul

At 835 mm seat height, it may look tall, but swing a leg over and you’ll be surprised how manageable it feels. The seat is soft, supportive, and built for long rides.

The upright posture, relaxed handlebars, and comfortable saddle make this a true touring machine.
Standing up while riding feels slightly awkward due to the slim tank, but while seated — it’s pure bliss.

You could easily spend hours on this bike without your back or wrists complaining.

Tech & Features – Smart, but Not Perfect

The Apache RTX 300 comes loaded with tech — a fully digital instrument cluster, Bluetooth connectivity, and turn-by-turn navigation.

However, there’s a small catch: if your phone screen turns off, the navigation switches to turn-by-turn mode instead of full-map display. It’s not a dealbreaker, but definitely something TVS can fix with a software update.

An adjustable windscreen would also make a great addition for those long highway rides.

The Highway Test – Sixth Gear and Serenity

Finally, we hit the open highway. The sixth gear slots in smoothly, the engine settles at 100 km/h, and everything feels… right.

The Apache RTX 300 cruises effortlessly — minimal vibration, steady wind protection, and a riding position that feels built for endless miles. It’s not just a motorcycle anymore — it’s a travel companion.

As the sun rises higher and the road stretches endlessly ahead, I realize — this bike is not about chasing speed.
It’s about chasing horizons.

Price & Value – The Sweet Spot

At an introductory price of ₹1.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the Apache RTX 300 is a masterstroke. It offers a big-bike feel, excellent comfort, solid performance, and a balanced ride — all at a price that feels almost too good to be true.

In the world of ADVs, where options like the KTM 250 Adventure and Suzuki V-Strom SX exist, this TVS manages to carve its own space. It’s not trying to compete — it’s trying to invite.

An invitation to ride. To explore. To begin.

Final Thoughts – The Adventure Begins

As I park the Apache RTX 300 and remove my helmet, I glance once more at its bold stance. The ride may be over, but the feeling stays — the calm hum of the engine, the smell of morning air, the freedom of the open road.

TVS has built something special — a bike that makes adventure touring accessible without compromising comfort or confidence.

If you’ve ever dreamed of long rides through mountains, highways, and unknown trails, this is your green light.

The Apache RTX 300 doesn’t just take you places — it takes you there with soul.
