The Stunning Cafe Racer Motorcycle “Truxon 400” by TRIN is Now in India

Last Updated: August 15, 2025By

After a long wait of over one and a half years of testing, the eagerly anticipated Truxon 400 from TRIN has finally landed in India. And guys, what a beautifully designed motorcycle it is! The moment you look at this bike, it instantly gives you the vibe of a big bike. Among the four colour options available—White, Black, Red, and Yellow—my personal favourite is the Yellow. Its side profile is truly amazing and captivating.

Design & Build Quality

The bike’s body shape has undergone some subtle tweaks, especially in the front fairing, which now looks neater and sportier. If I had one suggestion, it would be to extend the front fairing slightly lower to enhance its classic American café racer feel. TRIN has successfully retained the design elements from their premium 1200cc and 800cc models, now flawlessly packed into the 400cc segment.

Cafe Racer Motorcycle

The frame carries forward a tubular steel structure with clean fits and finishes. The headlamp, tail lamp, and indicators are all LED, showcasing premium craftsmanship. The rear cowl is nicely designed, detachable when you want to ride solo, which is a thoughtful touch for riders. The rear features a relatively wide 150mm tire that adds to its aggressive stance.

The silver exhaust pipe contrasts beautifully with the bike’s colour schemes, giving a classy, premium look different from the usual black exhausts seen in this segment.

Detailing & Build Precision

One of TRIN’s biggest strengths is their attention to detail. From screws and nuts to panel gaps and finishes, everything feels meticulously crafted. This bike clearly shows the finesse expected from a premium motorcycle manufacturer.

TRIN’s rivalry with Royal Enfield continues spot on—where Royal Enfield focuses on value for money and nostalgic appeal, TRIN emphasizes premium quality resembling what Apple does in smartphones. Every small aspect of the Truxon 400 reflects thought and quality.

Technical Specifications & Performance

The Truxon 400 is powered by a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, four-valve engine with DOHC technology. It displaces 398cc and boasts a high compression ratio of 12:1, making it a peppy and lively performer. The bike delivers a peak power of 41.4 BHP at 9000 RPM and a high torque of 37.5 Nm at 7500 RPM, meaning it is designed to give a thrilling ride both at low and high RPMs.

It employs a six-speed transmission with a slipper clutch, ensuring smooth and responsive gear shifts. The seat height is 795 mm, and the bike weighs around 181 kg, making it relatively lightweight for a cafe racer in this segment.

Suspension & Brakes

The front suspension features upside-down forks (USD) with 43mm diameter and 140mm travel, providing excellent stability and comfort. At the rear, it sports a gas-charged monoshock with adjustable preload offering 130mm travel. The bike comes equipped with a 300mm front disc brake with a four-piston caliper and a 230mm rear disc with a single piston caliper—ensuring strong and reliable stopping power.

Tyres & Wheels

While the rear tyre is a good 150mm wide with a 60-profile on a 17-inch alloy wheel, the front tyre is slightly narrow at 110mm (70-profile). It would have been better if the front tyre size was bumped up to 120mm or 130mm for enhanced balance and stability, especially given the sporty café racer design.

Fuel Tank & Mileage

The fuel tank capacity is 13 litres with a dual-paint scheme that gives it a premium look at the fuel tank level itself. The company claims a mileage of around 37 km/l; however, real-world figures are expected to be in the range of 22-25 km/l depending on riding conditions.

Colours & Aesthetic Appeal

Among the four colours, the Yellow variant stands out the most due to its brightness and chrome accents, followed by sleek Black and attractive Red. The White option, while decent, is relatively common and heavily seen in customized bikes.

Final Thoughts

The Truxon 400 is a breath of fresh air in the Indian café racer segment. It beautifully combines style, performance, and attention to detail for enthusiasts looking for a premium yet affordable motorcycle. Though the price point feels a bit on the higher side, its specification and build will surely challenge many competitors.

I’m excited to get my hands on this bike for a full test ride and review soon!
